I agree with the fact together with everything that every person has says, the important thing is to look at this coming from a distinct standpoint (as I do most of the period). Other than that, you've obtained a fairly high-quality blog right here, keep up the good work.work

Hey,

First off- great site. I love it.

I hadn't watched a single Detroit game until I caught their 2nd contest against Butler this season. Even though they lost by 5, their play-style of shooting higher percentage 15-20+ foot jump shots instead of jacking up 3s all day long showed me a very disciplined team. I started watching more of their games on the Horizon League's TV website (which streams games for free! OMG!) and these guys became one of my Top 3 favorite teams in the NCAA.

So, they had a huge turnaround this year and finished with a 20-14 record. Do you think they'll be invited to the NIT, CBI, or CIT? I really think their close contests with Butler combined with a berth in the Horizon League Semi-Finals after upsetting Valparaiso and Green Bay on back-to-back days ought to put them in consideration for the NIT.

As good as Detroit was this year, they'll be even better next year. Butler better watch their back, because Detroit could very well only have 4 or 5 losses going into the conference tournament next year.

Speaking of next year, do you know if Detroit has signed a deal to play any of the following non-conference teams in the 10-11 season that they did in this season? Cal, Depaul, Michigan..

I honestly think it'd be good for them to try and schedule a moderately tough non-conference next year. I truly think that in late December the battle-hardened Detroit can take down a BCS Top 25 team.

Here's to hoping they go far in whatever tournament they get invited to. They're heating up so much now that they could easily stomp many BCS schools in the NIT. Considering that their top players are Sophomores and Juniors and that they were consistent bottom-feeders in the Horizon League, they were way ahead of schedule this year.

Anyway, I'm looking forward to all future Titans games. I'll be watching as many as possible online and if they ever air their non-conference games on one of the 30 Fox Sports regional channels I have.

From the only Detroit-Mercy fan in Memphis,

That is one of the most bizzare lists I have ever seen. You clearly did not take conference strength into account. Unless we are talking about the Big East were you overly exaggerated the talent of Seton Hall and St. Johns who are just lucky to be off the floor this year. Saint Mary's plays in a league were the ony legit team is Gonzaga, obviously you've got some love for the Pilots though... All I'm saying is Saint Louis should be higher... And I wish the Billikens had another shot at ND this year.

Curious, I don't see Marist listed. A good candidate for Benedict's Bum list. Are they no longer Catholic?

Rob, I think you are underestimating the MAAC teams especially Iona. Iona beat Providence rather handily. That victory should put them in the Saintly 16. Plus Boston College is horrible this year with losses to Providence, Maine, Rhode Island and Harvard. They should be in Purgatory.
