I could find just 2 games in which Ray played for the Rockets' summer league team while he did not play in two others, perhaps resting after a game the previous day. In the opener, he logged 16 minutes and scored 11 points. In the other game, he played 11 minutes and scored 3 points, I think.
Ray's pursuit of playing in the NBA continues and I hope he gets another opportunity in a fall camp, if not with Houston, then with another team. Speaking practically, I think there may be a place overseas where he could do well.

He could certainly play overseas, but as an NBA veteran, I think all that he needs is two 10 day contracts to equal what he would make overseas. It will be a tough call for him if he doesn't make a roster this Fall. Personally, I would love for him to play for the Reggio-Emilia team here in Italy. Unfortunately, they don't have any Americans on their roster at the moment and rarely have Americans. In the past, however, they had a guy named Joe Bryant (a/k/a Kobe's Dad) who is in their Hall of Fame.

It looks like Ray is going to play for Unicaja Malaga in the Spanish League. He just signed a one year contract. They play in the top league in Spain.

Ray was high scorer in a preseason game today with 17. Lots of good press about him.

Ray is off to a great start in Europe. Here is his line in his second game. 20 points, 7 assists and 5 rebounds with 6/6 in triples.

Ray lead Unicaja today with 15 points, 6 rebounds and 2 assists. It wasn't enough for a victory, however. Here is a picture from the game. https://pbs.twimg.com/media/DJRSQGxXkAArJxh.jpg

No problem. Since I am over here in Italy for a couple of years, it is nice to have someone to follow that I am familiar with (and on the right time zone for my body). I am hoping to get some good seats at the Dec 22 game between Milan and Unicaja.

Another huge day for Ray in Spain this weekend. 29 points - 10-12 from the field - 1-3 from beyond the arc - 9-9 from 2 point range - 3 rebounds and 2 assists. He even fouled out with over 3 minutes left in the game.

Well, it was a tough regular season start for Ray. He only had 7 points and his shooting was a bit off. Let's hope that was just a case of first real game jitters.

Ray had a better day today. 14 points and 6 assists in 19 minutes of a blowout. He is starting at the point, but doesn't get anywhere near 30 minutes a game.

Kind of a middle packer game for Ray. He got 20+ minutes and scored 14 with 1 assist, 1 rebound and 4 turnovers. A couple of his potential assists were right there, but the hands on the other side weren't quite ready. Unicaja lost.

In Greek mythology, the Titans were greater even than the gods. They ruled their universe with absolute power! Well that basketball court out there tonight, that's our universe. Let's rule it like Titans! (with apologies to coach boon)

Ray scored 7 in the last quarter and had the dunk of the night. https://youtu.be/ZzmVn5MVtgE

Tough weekend for Ray. Only 8 points in two games. He played solidly, but didn't put up enough shots. Kept a 2:1 Assist to TO ratio, but he played like the backup PG. Didn't do anything wrong, just didn't do enough right to get noticed. The other PG showed him up, but had a much worse +/- for the weekend. I don't know if anyone is watching that. Hopefully, he will have some better luck next weekend. He is averaging just under 10 points a game and playing much like he did for the Titans. Pass first PG who doesn't make many mistakes. Tries to take over at the end, but sometimes it is too late.
