Always rooting for Evan and every former Titan...well, 'cept for L. Brooks Patterson. You know, one time I saw Evan's mother in the gift shop and was stunned at how young she looked. Didn't look a whole lot older than http://www.valpoathletics.com/volleybal ... KDYnYWcG3A

L Brooks was generous to UDM when I was a student a decade ago. I realize he's said harsh things about the city of Detroit, but I've always liked him.

not a big l brooks fan. in my view, did more to divide our local body politic than any other single person. was glad for the ascension of snyder for no other reason than he blunted patterson's influence. just for the record, i do not consider myself a republican....okay okay. i award myself a ja award for talkin politics. mooseman started it!

Is L Brooks a former player? I'm almost certain he isn't. : )

Most message boards have an "anything goes" folder where people can talk politics and current events. I feel we desperately need this. It would probably just be me and Mac arguing and making stupid jokes, but it would be something to do come March.

Jason Calliste named to NBL Canada All Rookie Team - ironically he plays for the Titans

http://www.nblcanada.com/p/14578/nr/101532/nbl-canada-announces-2016-2017-all-rookie-team

Jason Calliste
Guard/KW Titans
22 GP, 12.3 ppg, 2.9 rpg, 2.9 apg
After joining the Titans in February, the Scarborough native emerged as a prolific perimeter scorer. Calliste's 54 threes accounted for 2/3rds of his field-goal makes, and he had at least three treys in 11 of his 22 appearances. He also ranked ninth in NBLC with a .806 free-throw percentage.

I just checked out this site and this is DEFINITELY fake news. They do not play basketball in Canada. Last time I checked, It was all bout Hockey and some curling here and there.

Please STOP spreading fake news...

This is simply a misprint. Jason is actually quite the curler, sweeper, whatever they call it. In his time here we often got together for some good old-fashioned curling. I'd slide about 1000 rock thingsy and he'd sweep it into the bull's eye or something. I'd be like, "Dude (no relation to our own Dude), can't we go get drinks or something? I'm freezing my rock thingys off out here." He couldn't get enough of curling.

But IF this is about basketball...good for him. I always liked Calliste. Quiet but intense player.

Chase Simon had good year in Isreal. Made all star team after impressive year. If I remember average 17 or so. Surprisingly he going to France with team that just got bumped to pro A from pro B. Team named Bourg en Bresse. Hope his agent knows what he doing.
Evan Bruinsma going to the Netherlands after Bulgaria.
Nick Minnerath scoring champion of Russia as well as first team all Russia, best forward of year and best import player of year. Just signed with Shanghai Sharks of Chinese Basketball league. He will be teaming up with last year Chinese MVP Jimmer Fredette. I'd imagine huge payday for Minnerath! Good for him, well deserved. Still remember him at Jsckson community college!
Ray MacCallum quiet this year. Not sure if he built for playing overseas but it probably time he gave it a try. I think he could do well.
