From Happening Hoops:

There are 4 D1 head coaching jobs still open. Chicago State, Deleware State, Detroit Mercy, and Florida International.
In my opinion the best job open left is probably FIU by a hair over Detroit. Better conference, and more desirable location.

I knew we'd make a Final Four in my lifetime. Thanks, Vowels!

It's possible that BA will find a new job before we hire his replacement.

Vowels better end up pulling a rabbit out of his hat.

Does this white smoke mean we have selected a coach? Or is it just steam escaping from Kilauea?

Stay tuned.

Sounds like Brokema.......he was supposed to have visited on Friday and now word leaking out we may have an announcement this week. Anyway, that's my guess !

Clue #1: Started with Breaking News from:
titanmike wrote: Re: Bronkema Heard he is supposed to be on campus today, no hire imminent.

Clue #2: Ptc appears to be spot on in interpreting the smoke signals coming from Vatican Calihan :D

Clue #3: Titans03 isn't letting anything slip by him either!

Can Div. II players who transfer to DIv. I play immediately? Know what I’m getting at?

Transfer from D2 to D1 generally requires sitting out a year, the exception being fifth year student who has already earned degree.

Also, I believe an incoming freshman could get out of a D2 LOI commitment if their coach leaves.

Too bad the one Ferris graduate transfer who could help us--their center, NCAA D-II POY--has committed to Xavier.

I think Ferris roster is probably better than half the HL at this point. I would gladly take their 3-4 best players minus their Xavier-commited Center.

I think the top 14 posters on this message board would make a better team than half the HL at this point.

I am afraid if Bronkema is the coach we might be looking at the two worst years back to back in the history of the program. His chaces of success at this point are very slim. We can not judge him over his first three years. If he is the coach we should give him 5 years to prove himself. In the mean time we must as a previous post stated, get rid of Vowels.

We will probably get an announcement soon, but it likely won't be Bronkema.

White smoke does not tell you the identity of the selection. Just that the announcement will be soon.

Don't you think that will be the case no matter whom we hire? We are probably in for a few lean years. It is just sad that it has come to this.

That's a lot more time than many on this board wanted to give BA.
