Like Ballantyne, he already had an offer from Dambrot at Akron. We've had a lot of overlap with Akron in recruiting and it looks like, for a while at least, that will just switch to Duquesne.

You expecting to us to win many recruiting battles against P5 teams?

...and that was before he continued to tear it up this year. He would have to have some childhood predilection toward Detroit Mercy to pick us over the offers he'll be getting. But, he doesn't. Plus, one buddy signed on with the Pioneers and his other buddy signed with MSU. My guess is that if he was forced to go mid-major, that school in California already has a leg up.

For those who advocate for a Flint guy: 2018 SF Cory Hightower (6-6, 215, 2★) has received an offer from Detroit.

VerbalCommits.com now shows the Titans have made 13 offers to individuals from the class of 2018. The site does not yet show a Detroit Mercy offer to Khalil Chatman.

Hightower the son of Cory Hightower, 1990s Flint high school star, I presume.

Trevion Williams, a 6-8 forward from Detroit Henry Ford HS, committed to Purdue today. The Titans had offered the four-star recruit.

That sucks. Titanmac fully expected BA and staff to beat out Purdue and Xavier for the big man's services. I'm sure we'll beat the big boys on the next 4-star, top 100 recruit though.
