Just when you thought this coaching was done for 2018, they’ve been out aggressively recruiting trying to fill the holes left by the departure of CA and Chatman And JJJr, declaring pro.

Per my sources, we have offered two of the top players in the 2018 UDM Intramural league. Taco Dan, 5’11” bruising power forward with a vicious elbow and good hands. We have also offered Djon Onabun, a 5’8” guard with an inconsistent shot and a propensity to jack up shots way early. These two are expected to play major roles on next year’s squad.

I give the staff cudos for pulling this off.

We should offer Foster Loyer. He seems to be pretty solid, and I don't think we've offered.

I'm pretty sure this has something to do with the Dude's post, though I'm not sure quite what: http://i.ytimg.com/vi/QjFNmrh311w/maxresdefault.jpg

I guess we can forget about landing Khalil Chatman. In hindsight, Canaan Chatman was pretty smart not to uproot his family and move them to Detroit. I dont think Kam Chatman will be returning for a 5th season either.

This is all your fault, 96. I hope you're happy.

It is a foreseeable consequence of the AD's decision to fire Bacari.

Which, itself, should have been a foreseeable consequence of Bacari having two consecutive 8 win seasons with little promise or reason to believe things might improve.

From an Ohio-based recruiting service: “‘18 Pickerington Central wing Adrian Nelson has decommitted from Detroit Mercy and reopened his recruitment. 6’6 wing with as much upside as nearly anyone in the state.”

Read some speculation that Ohio State might be interested.

Holtmann may be looking at him as a preferred walk on. I'd think if he was interested before he probably could have flipped him at any time.

Sorry we had to lose Nelson. Was excited to watch him play. He appeared to be our most promising recruit.

Let's not release him from his LOI. And if CB is granted another year of eligibility things aren't looking so bad.

Did anyone else notice the stuff on line with JJ and Durant and how much some of the NBA players think of JJ and they feel he is a leader. I thought when the Warriors were in town and they used Calihan that it was Willie but according to Durant it was JJ and Durant talks about being friends with the Jacksons both Jr. and Sr. and his respect for them.

Didn't notice. High praise for the Jackson's, though it wouldn't factor into my coaching search. I recall Draymond endorsed Lou Dawkins for the job last time around, but I didn't factor that into my opinion either. Obviously it didn't sway Vowels' decision.

I like JJ and really liked him as a player... but I try to separate that from my thoughts on who should be our next coach.

At least we'll get to see him play a year or two until NKU moves to a better conference.

I don't know how anyone can argue with this guy. He's hilarious.
