I haven't met the young man, but everyone I know in BH says that he is a fine young man. That works for me!

Has offering very early EVER paid off for a mid-major program? I'm not saying the staff shouldn't try their luck and make offers, but whenever I see an offer for 2 years or more out, I know it's the type of player who will probably end up in Ann Arbor or East Lansing.

Not sure that it has ever directly landed us, or other mid-majors a high major guy just for being the first program, or an early program to offer. However, it certainly can't hurt to get on their radar early. Gives more time to build a relationship with the kid, and if for some reason he goes high major, will likely put us at the top of a list of he decides to transfer. To some guys maybe it matters though. I figure that an offer is free until it is accepted. If you believe a guy is a player give it to him, and then the ball is in his court. If he passes it it is on him, but if we never give him the ball he never has the opportunity.

UofM football offers scholarships like its candy, I think BA is doing the same thing. About 10% of these offers are committable.

Per Verbal Commits, in addition to Harrison Curry, there are 6 Power Forwards (Seniors) seeking transfer (have not decided where) that are eligible in 2020-21.

Salif Boudie (lasted played at Arkansas State) is an interesting prospect.

Not sure how accurate and up-to-date this is, but here’s what Verbal Commits shows as the full list of Detroit offers for 2020. Doesn’t include Joey Liedel for some reason.

2★PG Jajuan Carr (6-2 170)
2★PG MarkWise (6-4 185)
2★PG Kyle LeGreair (6-0 155) Signed
2★PG MiKale Stephens (6-2)
2★PG Jeremiah Williams (6-3 165)
2★PG Tatiq Shepherd (5-8)
2★SG Griffin Yaklich (6-5 185)
2★SG Jayshawn Moore (6-4 175)
2★SG Micah-Immanuel Parrish (6-5)
2★SG Kevin-David Rice (6-3)
2★SG Braxton Barnhizer (6-3 172)
2★SF Nekhi Smith (6-6 200)

I have gone to two of his games. The first one Legree was at the game with his family. Joey Liedel and his family was friendly with Legree after the game. The second game I went to there was no one from are coaching staff there. Hopefully someone will be there at the game tonight to have more assurance that Joey is still coming. Also Joey is listed as 6'1" now the program

That's good for us, otherwise Duqesne or Georgia State would steal him from us in April. It seems like those two schools have been using UofD as a scouting service for the past few years.

Thanks Rogo that is what I thought but it wasn't on verbal commits site when I checked. We are a small fish so it isn't a surprise that information would be wrong on that site
