Are you here at the game?

Nah, listening on radio and with livestats. Is Hogan shooting underhanded?

At halftime, Titans lead 37-31. Chatman has 10 points but also 3 fouls (1 a technical) and 3 turnovers. Triple J has 9 points. Hogan 4-4 at the line. Bacari appears to be trying to win, but also to learn and evaluate. He's going deep in the bench and playing lots of combos. Top five in minutes are Jackson, Allen, Black, Chatman, & McFolley.

Are we seriously duking it out with Wayne State again? I hope the folks who made the trip have something encouraging to say despite the neck-and-neck score with 2 minutes to go.

a sloppy game from start to finish. noone really had an opportunity to get in a flow. tons of penalties. lots of minutes for the new guys. jones and jr. we're impressive. chatman was playing the 4 most of the time. other than that a hard game to evaluate. at the end they made the shots and we didn't. kudo's to coach greer.

I am not sure what we were doing on the offensive end,it seems like our game plan was to run the offense through Jones. On the defensive side it seemed as if #3 did whatever he wanted, we couldnt stop him. Also, Dre Black played too many minutes, it seemed like WSU was attacking him on the defensive end. Ballantyne has a nice outside shot,we need to design a few kickouts for him. Finally, more Allen and less Black. Allen seemed to be disengaged, probably due to his lack of playing time and the crazy substitution pattern. The trainer forced Allen into the huddle during the final timeout. I am highly dissapointed. Also coach Watson and Leon Derricks were in the stands.

Seems to be the same as last year so far. Allen probably doesn't like losing and Bacari is having a hard time convincing him that is okay to lose as long as you tell jokes and look cool doing it.

Not a lot that was encouraging, baller. Tariq Jones seems to be in the middle of the action quite a bit. That was encouraging. JJJ played decently. K. Chatman can really help us; he's a player. Is I. Jones ever going to play?

We were brought another fine mead wine blend last night called a 3rd straight loss in an exhibition game. Not good.

Our supposed front line, Chatman, Prince, and Hogan, took just 12 shots. It appears that our guards, the supposed strength of the team, were outplayed by Wayne State's guards on both ends.

BA is playing 3 dimensional chess. He's tanking these games w/o it looking like he is just to set up the ol' "Chip on the Shoulder" motivation bit.

on a positive note, the hot dogs were better..grilled not steamed...but still not "off the grill." the crowd was enthusiastic and seemed a bit larger than usual for these games. we have added features to the scoreboard broadcasts including a roving reporter in the stands and scorboard games for the crowd. all creating a fan/kid friendly atmosphere. good job guys! (hopefully this will do in the flydogs for good!)

BA must be working with the brand messaging people at UD. He seems to really be into a mixed message. The ticket people are working to fill the seats and BA is telling them that if they want to see a college game Wayne State is the team they want to go and watch if they want to see a winning college program in Detroit. Maybe in one of his jokes he will explain how bad basketball and losing encourages local people to come out and share their entertainment $ with us.

The crowd was larger than usual because there was a very loud contingency of Wayne State fans.

We play a mixed bag of teams through November - which is typical. But what if we really can't compete against any of these teams? I don't expect to beat VT, but what if we can't play against Seattle? What if we barely beat (or lose) to Dearborn and/or Siena Heights? BA is only "new" for so long. Trying not to look too much into this Wayne loss but it's really discouraging and if we start shaping up to have another year like last year, the wheels will fall off by the New Year. The fan base is thin enough as it is.

Nice brief summary of a tough one to summarize. The 2nd half had way too many fouls called on both sides, very tough for either team to get into any kind of flow on offense or defense, making it hard to judge, but still disappointing. It was nice to be back in Calihan with a decent crowd. I believe things will get better when the playing rotations get firmed up.

David Greer out coached Bacari Alexander for the second straight season. Hogan and Ballantyne need to spend more time on the treadmill and less time in the cafeteria both guys are in terrible shape. I think the honey moon is officially over for Bacari Alexander. Less talk and more results.
