Right. It was 500K for the study. The new logo was 1m. Get your facts right, guys.

Is "tacitus" Latin for "fake news"?

Saying it over and over doesn't make it true.

If the only goal is to win basketball games and pack the Fieldhouse, then we should fire both Vowels and Bacari then go out and hire Rick Pitino as AD and Head Coach. He would certainly bring a winning tradition with him (along with some excellent examples for the young men to learn from and not follow), the media would love talking about him and there would be at least 1000 people each game willing to pay to be closer to a Hall of Shame coach (we could even have Karen Sypher bobblehead dolls on sale). We could take that money and success to hire a younger, more successful coach and move on up to a better conference. Not a pretty strategy, but one that would meet those two objectives. Since all that matters these days is the "deal", this strategy would fit in nicely with the current times.

The university spent around $300,000 on the new logo, as part of a five-year, $1 million rebranding campaign, which included new advertising and improving signage around the university’s campus on the corner of McNichols and Livernois.

Thanks for the info. In the end, it appears to be $1M for a rebranding fail... which was generally the original point regardless of the breakdown of where the hundreds of thousands of dollars were spent.

In reality, the only way the rebranding could have potentially succeeded was if we were rebranding back to UofD.
