Only 2 people voted for this option and believe it or not, I was one of them!

You, Sir, are a true optimist.

Since Zero people voted from 6/18 to 7/1, how could I be wrong?? Although knowing our track record, you never know....

The Pistons just announced their new coach (Dwayne Casey), so it’s our turn next. Job was vacated May 7.

Technically, the Pistons didn’t announce their coach, ESPN reported their hire. They announced their coach as much as we announced Mike Davis.

Ok, maybe the Pistons will follow the UDM template and deny there is an agreement for the next several weeks, thus building interest and anticipation if it really will be Casey or maybe just JJ Sr.

From our friends at the Coaching Changes Twitter site: “The Pistons have even hired a coach before Univ of Detroit..... how embarrassing this is. How are the alumni allowing this to happen without an outcry?”

Nope, those wild and crazy Pistons are actually letting their fans know they’ve hired a coach, going so far as providing his name! Tom Gores on coach Dwane Casey: “Dwane is one of the most successful and highly respected coaches in our league. He’s a great communicator and a leader who will connect with our players and accelerate their growth." Next thing you know they’ll waste money flying the dude in for a press conference.

Tony Paul: "Lawyers for Detroit Mercy and Mike Davis are hammering out the final details on his contract to become the Titans next men's basketball coach."

Still keeping my fingers crossed

Great news! Hopefully Tony is right. He seems to be pretty deep into the recent activity so I’m optimistic he is right.

I am glad you give him props for paying attention to the program, but deep into things? come on. As if my message earlier didn't mean something.

Your post earlier did mean something. That’s why I asked you further about it.

Wonderful to hear! Lawyers are like famous for expediting the negotiated process!

“The first thing we do, let's kill all the lawyers” — from William Shakespeare’s “Henry the Sixth.”

You can never be too cautious when it comes to UDM basketball.

Maybe someone can point Coaching Changes to this message board. Should give them plenty of ammo.
