No favorite for tonight’s game, ESPN site says the betting odds are even.

God, this is embarrassing.

With the news today and the game so far, it begs the question: Is basketball a positive image for the University?????

How you been StJoeUofD?!

Obvious answer to your question. I legitimately wonder if UDM will have D1 athletics in ten years.

I am fine, thanks for asking. How are you doing? I just moved back to my home in St. Joe from Italy following the election and was hoping for some positive sports action from ND and Detroit. It is hard to figure out how a University can justify investing money into a cash negative sport where all the news is so detrimental to its image. It may be time for a reset or a discontinuance. It makes me sad that even a die hard like me is even thinking about such a solution. At a minimum, Vowels must go!!!

BTW, Greg, you aren't being snarky, just brutally accurate. This time I was snarky.

Great comeback. Brutal loss but a blowout would have been much worse. When Waterman fouled out, it hurt. The kid was all over the boards. Still, they played hard, Davis was on fire until the very end. As far as discontinuing D-1 basketball (all sports, really), that would be heartbreaking. The stuff with the women's team is dreadful and there's no way to make it better. For once, we received press from Detroit's woeful media, but for all the wrong reasons.

Still, to pull the plug on D-1 sports would be heartbreaking and, I think, premature. This past year has been a dreadful anomaly (I hope) and the effects of how it will effect the economy will probably be disastrous. That's okay, though, we can still print money  . Though I admit not to know any other solution to keep people from losing their homes. I've been working through the whole pandemic, scare, panic, with the public and I'm fine with the risk. And grateful to be working. I know I'll get a lot of flack for saying it, but I've always believed life came with risks and have few plans for living forever. I don't do well with waiting for the next edict from DC or Lansing before deciding what's safe for me. Damn the torpedoes; full speed ahead.

But my point is that the time for making any big decisions (like UD keeping D-1 sports) is not now. Let the dust settle first and go from there.

GO TITANS!! My best to all of you.

Are you guys serious with the 'great comeback' posts?

Here's the challenge: I'll donate $1k to the athletic department (probably will need to go to the women's basketball legal fund) if the Titans win tomorrow. And, on top of that: I'll bet Rogo dinner at Ruth Chris Steakhouse--But the only way I'll do this is if he can get some of his friends to get in the bet and make it $5k--and I'll then I'll by dinner for all of them...Now, we all know this is not going to happen because the Titans aren't going to win!

If we play today's game with the same level of intensity that we played the 2nd half of last night's game .... I believe we'll win. :D

Hopefully Chris Brandon can stay out of foul trouble and have a 'break out' game.

No takers...What's there to lose?

It's off the table now.

They will lose by 14. Book it.

As of yesterday, online sports gambling is legal in Michigan. I guess the betting sites are your best avenue to make a wager.

With the 10 point Titan win, you were off by a net 24 points. And it was a “book it” encrusted prediction to boot.
