Some numbers on Wheeling Jesuit from a quick Google search:

Enrollment: 1,150

Tuition: $29,290

Average: ACT 22

Endowment: $15.1 million

Only Catholic college in town. Population of the Wheeling metro area is 147,950 (28,486 in central city).

The Titans have never played Wheeling Jesuit in basketball. The Cardinals were 9-21 this year competing at the D-II level.

I think this is their best shot at making it work.

I think this is their best shot at making it work.

As has already been reported on this message board, Detroit Mercy recently jettisoned its education programs. I have also heard rumblings that some liberal arts majors could be eliminated in the future based on lessening demand for those offerings from students and related cost considerations.
