(As part of Detroit Mercy’s observance of Jesuit Day of Service this past April 27, alumni volunteers helped paint this structure and cleared and beautified the lot.)

From the Detroit News:

“Ralph C. Wilson Jr. Foundation announces $10M grant for Detroit's neighborhood fund”

https://www.detroitnews.com/story/news/ ... 399638002/

Among those benefiting from the strategic fund is the Detroit Pizza Bar set to open in August 2020 in the Livernois-McNichols neighborhood, one of the first three neighborhoods targeted for investment.

Construction is scheduled to begin Monday at 7316 W. McNichols to add a second story to what will become a restaurant with indoor and outdoor seating for about 150 people and two bars, said Akunna Olumba, CFO of the Detroit Pizza Bar. (This is about three streets west of the University of Detroit Mercy campus, north side of McNichols.)
