That didn't take long. Thanks to Stephen Ross' $100M donation to UofM athletics. He has donated $313M to UofM in total.

Could you imagine?

Maybe we can play our games there since we don't have enough bleachers to seat our crowds.

This project addresses needs identified at the launch of the athletic department’s portion of the Victors for Michigan campaign last fall.

The university's first indoor rowing tank will be built.

Wouldn't an indoor rowing tank be more of a "want" than a "need"?

They are building a 2000 spectator capacity track and 3000 capacity lacrosse stadium. We can't even get a few more used bleachers for our soccer/lacrosse/football field/6 lane track.

The $168M project is supposed to be funded solely by athletic donors, including $100M from Stephen Ross. The other $68M from other donors is pretty nice too.

How are we supposed to compete against this:

I really wish we could build something about half the size at Titan Field with permanent stands, real bathrooms, "onsite" locker rooms and concessions. Or larger and host youth and high school football/lacrosse/soccer/field hockey games. I guy can dream, can't he?!?

I agree Jimmy. This is something I would like to see also.

The AD is looking to make some of the changes to Titan Field that you mentioned as well as lights for night games.

UofM's lax stadium complex is done. There are some photos on their Twitter page: https://twitter.com/UMichLacrosse

Meanwhile, our lacrosse team is fundraising for some lockerroom deodorizers.
