Titans Fall in MAAC Semi-Final

Postby Commissioner » Thu Apr 30, 2015 10:29 pm

#2 seed Quinnipiac slapped the #3 seed Titans around pretty good in today's MAAC semi-final, winning 16-9. Quinnipiac had won the regular season meeting by a single goal.

Despite the disappointing finish, this was an excellent year for the Titans. The Titans had their first winning record since joining D-I; received votes in the National Poll for the first time, and scored a win over Ohio State, which I think was our first win ever over a ranked team.

In NCAA tournament, #2 overall seed Syracuse pummeled MAAC Champ Marist 20-8 in the opening round. Ohio State, whom the Titans beat this year, upset #5 overall seed Duke in the first round, and lost in the second round to #4 seed Denver. Denver then beat #1 seed Notre Dame and will face #6 Maryland in the final today on ESPN 2.
