After a tough non-conference season (2-6, with losses to nationally ranked Ohio State and Michigan plus two other teams "receiving votes" in the poll, Marquette and Air Force) the Titans have opened MAAC play with wins over Manhattan and at Quinnipiac. Manhattan and Q are the worst teams in the MAAC (Q is dead last in the NCAA in RPI), but that's OK--you're supposed to beat bad teams and the Titans did, including on the road at Quinnipiac.
Titans play another bad MAAC team--Siena--this week-end on the road. Always tough to win on the road, but the Titans should be favored. A win would situate the Titans' very nicely, leaving our guys in first place in the regular season title race and almost guaranteeing a top 4 finish (and hence a spot in the conference tournament to decide the NCAA bid). The last three games are against the conference's better teams--Canisius, Monmouth, and Marist--but the first two are at home.
