In Greek mythology, the Titans were greater even than the gods. They ruled their universe with absolute power! Well that basketball court out there tonight, that's our universe. Let's rule it like Titans! (with apologies to coach boon)

No mention in the article of the other recent transfer Curran in the article. Is that one confirmed yet?

If a Tony Paul statement is the thing that makes this official, then there was this Tweet by Tony Paul last week.

Hopefully, Marquell Fraser & Matt Johnson elect to use their addition year of eligibility and return to UDM. Last season, Marquell and Matt make a huge contribution to our squad; they definitely play with great intensity!

According to Tony Paul, he is hearing that Fraser and Johnson will be leaving us.

No doubt, this is a huge loss of talent and experience. Safe to say, it's a good thing that Kevin McAdoo has committed to our program. :D

If it were not for the NCAA's decision about 6 months ago to give every player an extra year of eligibility for the impact of COVID on last season, we would have been looking at replacing these players. I' enjoyed watching them play for us and appreciate greatly their effort and energy last year. They helped us step up the production in our men's BB program. Now, I look forward to next season and how well their replacements including DJ Harvey, Max Curran, Kevin McAdoo, and Jordan Phillips will play. Also, we hope to announce soon a new big man and another big guard or wing player. The NCAA 's circle of life continues.

Unless I'm mistaken, Fraser was already at his fourth school when he arrived at Detroit. There was a JC mixed in somewhere along the way; I think it was after VCU. So he sets a new record with this transfer apparently.

Didn't it used to matter that you needed the last 32 hours at a school in order to qualify for a degree?

I believe Fraser already had his Bachelor’s degree when he arrived at UDM.

At the undergraduate level, I believe UDM requires at least 32 hour be in residency to qualify for a Bachelor’s diploma from the University.

At the Master’s level, most schools only allow a small number of hours to transfer in. I know U-D would only allow 6 semester hours of transfer credit when I went to grad school there. When the NCAA allowed grad students playing basketball to transfer one more time, they set up a lot of guys to lose credits that won’t transfer to the new institution.
